Ike Awunor (MBBS, MPH, FMCPH) is a public health consultant & epidemiologist involved in health research and community development.
He is a lecturer in the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria.
He is also the Executive Director of Gladcare Health & Research Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) located in Benin City, Nigeria through which he carries out health promotional activities and public health advocacy.
His professional interest include health system research, data management, reproductive health and one health. He enjoys reading, writing and speaking about public health and community development.
He has been involved in numerous community based medical outreaches and health surveys in Edo and Delta States of Nigeria. He has given public lectures on cross cutting issues in public health and community development to organisations and associations. He is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Medical Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria (HERFON) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
He is married with three children.
